Phoenix Retina Associates has been providing cutting-edge and compassionate care to patients with conditions of the retina and vitreous for over 11 years in the Greater Phoenix area. Phoenix Retina Associates physicians and staff utilize the latest medical diagnostic and surgical treatment to provide the best possible outcome and future for our patients.
Phoenix Retina Associates is looking for teammates who are motivated and enthusiastic to join our team in providing the highest quality specialized care in the treatment of threatening diseases and injuries of the retina and vitreous. The position of Ophthalmic Technician is Full-time and benefited, working Monday-Friday. Competitive Salary, 100% paid employee premiums for Medical. Also we offer Dental/Vision, Holidays, and Paid Time-Off (PTO) program.
Ophthalmic Technician Overview:
Phoenix Retina Ophthalmic Technicians are responsible for assisting in the care, treatment, and education for ophthalmology patients. Ophthalmic Technicians conduct patient screening, patient communication & education, obtain patient history, document in EHR, maintain patient confidentiality, and maintain exam rooms and inventory. Ophthalmic Technicians assist our Ophthalmologists in preparing patients for examination, performing diagnostic testing, visual acuity, and intraocular pressures as directed by a physician.
Certified Medical Assistants are welcome to apply!
Education – COT, COA, OSC, CMA, EMT certifications preferred, HS Diploma or equivalent required.
Experience – Minimum of one year clinical experience preferred; key boarding ability of 45 wpm, EHR experience preferred, knowledge of ophthalmic medical office procedures specific to a vitreo-retinal practice highly desirable.
