Salary: $50,000.00 to $60,000.00

Phoenix Behavioral Health, a leading provider in the treatment of mental health and substance use, is seeking a Community Outreach Liaison to serve as a bridge between the facility and the community, focusing on building relationships, increasing awareness, and facilitating access to mental health services in both our Ewing and Cherry Hill New Jersey location! 

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Community Engagement : Actively engage with community groups, schools, and other organizations to promote the facility’s services and programs.
  • Resource Coordination : Work with local healthcare providers, schools, and organizations to identify service gaps and collaborate on solutions.
  • Client Referrals : Facilitate the process of referring community members to appropriate mental health services within the facility.
  • Event Coordination : Plan, coordinate, and execute community outreach events, such as health fairs and seminars, to raise awareness and recruit potential clients.
  • Marketing and Social Media : Utilize social media and other channels to disseminate information about services, events, and mental health topics.
  • Data Collection and Reporting : Gather and analyze data related to community needs, outreach activities, and service utilization to guide future efforts.
  • Hospital and Facility Partnerships: Build and maintain relationships with local hospitals, healthcare providers, and other facilities to generate a consistent flow of referrals to the behavioral health facility.
  • Compliance : Ensure all community outreach activities adhere to relevant laws, ethical guidelines, and facility policies.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Must be able to work flexible hours including mornings, nights and weekends.

Working knowledge of medical insurance as it pertains to treatment.

Must be flexible, adaptable, and accommodating.

Must have effective communication skills and strong intervention skills.

Ability to adapt to diverse client groups.

Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.

Ability to maintain confidentiality of information.

Ability to demonstrate tact, resourcefulness and patience.

Ability to effectively utilize computers, various software programs and technologies.

Ability to multi-task and work within a fast-paced environment.

Well organized and flexible.

Effective communication skills.

Education and Experience:

  • High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • MUST HAVE MINIMUM 1 YEAR EXPERIENCE IN BEHAVIORAL HEALTH FIELD
  • Experience in direct client care is preferred
  • Experience with EHR and CRM is preferred
  • Customer Service experience preferred
