Summary:

Tetra Tech is currently seeking a Principal Air Quality and EHS Consultant with high-level expertise in developing innovative solutions for clients through strategic evaluation of overall client goals and facility operations with a focus on the information technology, data storage, chip fabrication and related data technology market sectors.

Strategic front-end assessment, permitting, design and mitigation solutions including follow-on oversight of the implementation of solutions are key responsibilities of the position. The Consultant will primarily provide task management with a potential goal of integrating the candidate as a key client facing contact into Tetra Tech’s overall programmatic team providing solutions to clients. The Consultant will be primarily providing technical solutions on projects but will be encouraged to identify new opportunities for work and participate in their capture. Workload and workflow is dependent on the availability of awarded work and candidate.

Your Role:

  • Meet team members, meet other related discipline managers and review company capabilities to understand and leverage Tetra Tech’s diverse resources and service offerings in your associated practice areas. Collaborate with operations and technical focused team members to advance business development, program and project implementation, and practice area strategies and goals.
  • Provide senior leadership support to Tetra Tech’s permitting, air quality and EHS practices focusing on your areas of expertise. Leadership support includes input on business strategy and client engagement, opportunity identification and pursuit, and junior team member education and mentoring.
  • Bring current and future client assistance opportunities to the attention of senior management and assist in the development of a strategic approach to align Tetra Tech capabilities with the opportunity.
  • Work with a technical team of air quality, EHS technical specialists, and other disciplines supporting permitting across Tetra Tech. Understand technical capabilities that can be leveraged to assist individual clients and that may be linked to a more programmatic approach to a market segment.
  • Capitalize on industry relationships/expertise/professional network to maintain and establish new relationships and ensure they are managed for growth. Introduce yourself to clients and nurture industry relationships as a Senior Consultant with Tetra Tech and promote our practice areas.
  • Manage tasks and projects to Tetra Tech’s project management and technical standards.

Qualifications:

  • B.S. degree in chemical engineering, environmental engineering, or a closely related discipline required.
  • Fifteen years of direct experience in program/project management.
  • Expertise in air quality modeling, EHS management, and permitting practice areas as applied to the information technology, data storage, chip fabrication and related data technology market sectors.
  • Understanding of the air quality and EHS practice areas and multidisciplinary permitting requirements. Must have deep understanding of current and upcoming regulations and how they relate to the target market segments.
  • Experience working across disciplines to develop interdisciplinary solutions for a variety of market segments.
  • Strong network of clients and long-standing established relationships.
  • Ability to delegate project and operation tasks to more junior team members to effectively utilize Consultants strengths is essential.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing task and project finances to strong profitability and team workload, mentoring, and technical quality.
  • Skilled in oral and written communication with demonstrated ability developing and delivering effective presentations to customers and management.
  • A Pre-employment drug screen in compliance with state regulations is required.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record without restrictions.
