Description JOB SUMMARY
This position works Friday, Saturday and Sunday. 7:00 pm to 7:00 am
Performs a variety of standardized noninvasive cardiovascular tests to include three specialties of these four: adult echocardiography, pediatric echocardiography and peripheral vascular studies of upper and lower extremities and carotid arteries. Assist Physician with ultrasound guided exams. Perform studies with accuracy and precision necessary to satisfy department standards and Physician interpreters while projecting a professional image , conserving hospital property and assets and meeting competency requirements. Performs injection of bubble studies and ultrasound enhancement agents such as Optison, Definity and/or Lumason. Provides direct patient care to all ages.

Demonstrates competency at all levels in providing care to all patients based on age, sex, weight, and demonstrated needs. For non-clinical areas, has attended training and demonstrates usage of age- specific customer service skills.
WORKING CONDITIONS
General environment: Works in a well-lighted, air-conditioned area, with moderate noise levels.
May be exposed to high noise levels and bright lights.
May be exposed to limited hazardous substances or body fluids, or infectious organisms.
May be required to change from one task to another of different nature without loss of efficiency or composure.
Periods of high stress and fluctuating workloads may occur.
May be scheduled as needed including overtime
Qualifications EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
2 year / Associate Degree in Cardiovascular Technology/ Sonography (Required) ;In lieu of an Associates Degree; a Minimum of 4 years additional relevant experience is acceptable.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
4 - 5 years Cardiovascular Ultrasound (Required)
CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSURES
Required Certifications/Licensures: Basic Life Support (BLS), Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) in Adult Echo or Pediatric Echo or Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT)
