PHMC is Hiring a Program Manager - Anti-Violence Community Partnership Grant Near Philadelphia, PA

JOB OVERVIEW

The Program Manager for the Antiviolence Community Partnership Grant Program (AVCPG Program) will report to the Program Director of AVCPG and will assist with the development of systems to manage the program. The Manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the program, ensuring compliance with grant requirements, supporting the Director with managing key internal and external stakeholders, and completing all reporting and documentation per funder guidelines.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Program Management:

  • Utilize project management software, such as MS Teams, Smartsheet, and Salesforce, to assess and manage workplan activities, ensuring they meet targeted timelines.
  • Collaborate with the Director to provide support for systems and processes used in financial management and grant disbursement.
  • Help develop and implement standard operating procedures to ensure consistent and efficient financial management practices.
  • Ensure grant recipients are informed of and adhere to established standard operating procedures.
  • Support Program Director and Program Coordinator with the development, management, coordination, execution, tracking, and reporting of program deliverables.
  • Assist in the oversight of financial transactions, budget management, and compliance with grant requirements.
  • Conduct regular reviews to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial reporting.
  • Maintain organized and accurate documentation of all grant-related activities.
  • Coordinate and host internal meetings with PHMC’s fiscal, contracts, and program teams.
  • Support the Director with the development of progress reports for C-suite review.
  • Support evaluation and technical assistance for grantee data collection that is used for program assessment.
  • Supervise AVCPG Program Coordinator.
  • Support the Director with evaluation methods to support continuous quality improvement of projects.
  • Track project process and outcome evaluation metrics in consultation with the city as needed.

SKILLS:

  • Comfortable coordinating and interacting with stakeholders representing a variety of high-profile positions and organizations
  • Professionalism in writing, crafting emails, conducting meetings, and navigating sensitive information
  • Detail-oriented with advanced written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional organization and project management skills
  • Ability to multi-task effectively and engage with colleagues across the organization to advance the execution of project deliverables
  • Committed to the PHMC mission of building healthier communities through partnerships with government, foundations, businesses, and community-based organizations to improve the health of the community by providing outreach, health promotion, education, research, planning, technical assistance, and direct services
  • Flexible with the ability to work independently and as a team both in person and virtually as needed
  • Experience with management of government contracts and non-profit evaluation techniques and tools preferred
  • Experience and familiarity with financial compliance requirements
  • Basic financial management and budgeting knowledge

LOCATION: This position is office-based and located in Center City Philadelphia.

HOURS: Monday through Friday, 8:30 A.M. - 5:00 P.M.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT: Master's degree in public health or public administration

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT: At least three years of experience in public health, project coordination, or a related area require
