Cold Spring Hills Center for Nursing & Rehabilitation is looking for a Dietary Technician to work directly with the Chief Clinical Dietitian, Clinical Dietitians, and Foodservice Director to implement and adjust the residents' diets in the facility. The dietary technician also works with the food service staff in the kitchen to make sure that each menu is prepared according to nutritional guidelines.

Qualifications:
·General knowledge of the principles and practices of dietetics and nutrition.
·General knowledge of State and Federal regulations.
·General knowledge of basic food science, preparation, and service systems management.
·General knowledge of sanitation and food handling principles.
·General knowledge of medical terminology.
·General knowledge of safety and accident prevention principles.
·Skill in observing residents to obtain needed information.
·Skills in educating and counseling residents and their families regarding proper nutrition, food selection, and preparation.
·Skill in applying the knowledge of dietetics and nutrition to the development of therapeutic diets.
·Pleasant, respectful, personality with proven ability to interact with residents and all levels of Management.
This is an 1199 Union Position with union benefits including vacation, holidays, sick time and personal days
