Philly’s Paws & Claws is now hiring! We have a full-service pet care business. We provide dog walking, pet sitting, dog daycare/boarding, pet taxi services, and limited grooming services. We are expanding on our amazing team of pet care professionals. 

• Dog Daycare Supervisor with the ability to also perform private dog walking and pet sitting services.
• This role is designed to be part-time. Most staff will work 15-25 hours per week (based on client demand and availability). Additional work opportunities may be available. 
• Hours of operation (We provide dog daycare / taxi services from 8am to 7pm most days. Dog walking from 7am to 10pm most days. Pet sitting early morning and late evening.) 
• We are located in North West Philadelphia. We service West Central Germantown, Mt. Airy, Manayunk, Roxborough, East Falls, Chestnut Hill, and other nearby communities.

Compensation:

$16 - $20 / hour (New staff will train at $16 per hour. After 30 days, supervisors will start at $18 per hour.)

The responsibilities:

• Help onboard and train our new employees. 
• Support our team with performance reviews and guidance. 
• Perform quality checks and provide detailed reports to management. 
• Ensure the daycare areas remain clean and safe. 
• Prepare feedings and medications for daycare staff to administer. 
• Every team member on staff is expected to monitor pet health, check temperaments, and encourage safe, monitored play.
• Support our grooming staff and management team as requested. 
• In cases of increased client demand or short-staff, you may be expected to provide pet taxi services, bringing dogs to/from the daycare, the vet office, and client homes. 
• Inventory management.
• As a supervisor, you may be a client-facing team member, interacting with clients as they drop off and pick up their dogs from the daycare.
• We treat all animals humanely, properly, and compassionately, regardless of the situation or circumstance.

The ideal candidate:

• Candidates with prior staff management experience.
• Candidates with prior experience in a dog daycare/boarding or grooming environment. 
• We are looking for motivated candidates to help us improve the quality of our work and grow our small business. 
• We seek candidates who are ready to help in various roles (dog daycare, dog boarding, dog grooming, dog walking, and pet sitting). 
• Our roles and tasks can change quickly in this role based on client demand and staffing levels. Candidates who can remain calm under pressure will excel in this role.
