Phillips Staffing is seeking a General operator for a valued client in Anderson. In this role, you must be able to use measuring devices and power tools and read blueprints. Responsibilities :
- Maintain positive, progressive, and productive attitude toward plant targets and objectives regarding reliability, accountability, safety, integrity, quality, and productivity as a unified goal.
- Use of calipers, micrometers, and tape measures to ensure quality standards.
- Follow diagrams or work orders as provided by a team leader.
- Using drills to tap / ream holes to prepare parts for assembly.
- Read / interpret blueprints and make minor adjustments as necessary.
Requir ements
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
- 2 yrs. experience operating industrial machinery in a metal fabrication environment is preferred.
- Must have the ability to read process sheets in order to determine assembly sequence, machine and tooling requirements, measurements and tolerances.
- Must be able to use basic mathematical equations and engage in constructive and creative problem solving.
