Schedule: 12pm-8pm Monday-Friday

Primary Purpose:

• Responsible for providing & supporting production tooling needs and provides technical support both in the die room and on the production floor.
• Provide accurate tooling for changeovers while maintaining & validating tooling changeout frequencies.
• Support any technical support required by production for tooling – Including machine troubleshooting to facilitate productivity stability & increase and validated & controlled tooling spend.
• Maintain controlled and accurate inventory in the die room by maintaining current inventory / change out programs and being a leader and/or integral contributor for new efficiency/productivity/cost saving program development.

Essential Functions:

• Support a work environment that is safe and free from hazards and unsafe behaviors. Assures that safe work practices are followed. Reviews and responds to safety requests in a timely manner.
• Integral part of the die room team to maintain efficient productivity. Facilitates prioritizes and provides die strings for shop packets. Utilizes Excel and vendor data to determine proper inventory levels.
• Contributing team member in the efforts to create a culture that is customer-focused, team-based and driven by continuous improvement. Develops relationships with their peers to lead, support and collaborate in process improvement activities. Personally, adheres to and assists other team members in the adherence to company policies.
• Manages costs through detailed inventory control and review of returned tooling.
• Collaborates with production cells to support existing and new potential business opportunities.
• Facilitates department 5S initiatives.

Required Experience:

• Wire & Cable experience preferred.
• Proficiency with personal computers required, Microsoft Office Suite preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal skills required.
• Analytical thinker: Drawing valid conclusions; evaluating and implementing new methods and techniques for improvements.
• Ability to support production and be a contributing team member in day to day production and projects.
• Ability to work under minimal supervision, exercise sound judgment, flexibility, initiative, and commitment in an environment of rapid change.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $19.50 per hour
