**Travel Required**

Summary:

Concrete Finishers in this role specialize in constructing and finishing concrete foundations specifically for transmission lines and substation structures. This position demands techniques necessary for these types of foundations.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Form, pour, and finish concrete for transmission line and substation structures.
  • Perform layout, site preparation, placement, and finishing of concrete foundations designed for transmission lines and substations.
  • Operate a variety of equipment including power tools, saws, hammers, nails, and bolts, tailored for large-scale concrete projects.
  • Level freshly placed concrete for transmission line and substation foundations.
  • Smooth concrete surfaces focusing on surfaces that withstand environmental stresses.
  • Monitor environmental factors such as wind, heat, and cold, assessing their impact on the curing of concrete in large-scale projects.
  • Set and place forms to proper elevations and locations, prepare the base, and install proper reinforcing for transmission line and substation foundations.
