Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel - Medical Lab Technician - Blood Bank

Shift : Variable / V ariable start times, 10x4, 40 hours per week, Mon-Fri

Length : 24 weeks
Must be flexible and able to work both AM and PM Shifts
May be asked to cover 3rd shift (6:25p-7a) on weekdays or weekends, Holiday coverage (If applicable): Night shift, 12 hours, 6:25p-7a

Requirements:

• 1 Year Experience
• Recent experience working in Blood Bank on the bench routinely and have experience with neonatal products preparation and massive transfusion all with minimal training needed
• Experience with neonates, adults, sickle cell patients and oncology/hematology patients
• Experience with transfusion blood bank services (not donor center)
• Experience at Hospital with 300 beds within the last year
• BCLS
• MLT or MLS from ASCP

Reference from blood bank manager required
24-weeks contract. End date will be a Sunday
Work schedule: 40 hours per week with various shifts and variable start times

24 week contract! **MUST BE FLEXIBLE**
***This role is not suitable for a candidate with experience as a only a generalist***
Required Experience:
1. MLT or MLS from ASCP
2. Epic - HIS, Beaker - LIS, SoftBank, Ortho Vision analyzer and/or Ortho ProVue or Manual Gel testing
3. Experience with neonates, adults, sickle cell patients and oncology/hematology patients
4. Experience with transfusion blood bank services (not donor center)
5. Experience at Hospital with 300 beds within the last year
Looking for candidates who have recent experience working in Blood Bank on the bench routinely and have experience with neonatal products preparation and massive transfusion all with minimal training needed
