Carolina Industrial Staffing is currently seeking a Facilities Technician for one of biggest clients in Columbia, SC!
1st shift position
Pay ranges from $37,128 - $46,675 - DOE
  • Performs advanced facility maintenance, construction, and repair tasks according to safety, service, and quality standards.
  • Acts as the SME to oversee and lead projects.
  • Assists with developing standard operating procedures, installs, inspects, repairs, and performs preventative maintenance on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, and waste management systems.
  • Leads miscellaneous facility projects with advanced skillsets, including construction and renovation involving electrical, plumbing, and structural projects.
  • Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of buildings, building components, and grounds.
  • Utilizes a work order system to log activities as required. 
  • Works with and assists trades contractors to complete projects or complex repairs.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose problems and root causes of complex facilities-related issues, including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and plumbing.
  • Assists with the continuous improvement of the facility's preventive maintenance program.
  • Leads activities that create a continuous improvement environment, sustains lean processes, suggests areas of improvement in safety, quality, cost, and delivery. Actively supports lean, 5S, and value stream management initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
