Philadelphia Retina Associates is Hiring an Ophthalmic Technician (FT) Near Sewell, NJ

Job Description.The Ophthalmic Technician will assist our ophthalmologists in a fast-paced work environment, providing support through direct patient care, clinical tasks, and administrative responsibilities. PPE (personal protective equipment) is provided.
Minimal travel to one of our other office locations may be required on occasion as necessary.
Responsibilities:
  • Greet and escort patients to the exam room.
  • Do pre-exam workups, diagnostics, and scribe for the physicians.
  • Perform patients’ vision tests.
  • Conducting various ophthalmic photography/imaging, including Fundus photos, IVFA's, and B-Scans.
  • Preparing patients for various procedures.
  • Perform room set up before procedures and clean up after procedures.
  • Stock supplies.
  • EMR systems data entry.
  • Review and file medical charts.
  • Assist the physician with miscellaneous projects and tasks.
Qualifications:
  • It is preferred that applicants for this position have at least one year of experience in an ophthalmology or optometry practice.
  • Be proficient in the usage and care of applicable medical instruments, but additional training can be provided to those applicants who are motivated and eager to learn.
