Phil Long Ford of Denver is searching for a full-time Parts Advisor. A Parts Advisor sells parts and accessories to parts customers and actively solicits wholesale accounts.

Essential Duties

  • Assists wholesale account customers, and/or walk-in/phone-in customers, in selecting required parts or accessories in a friendly, professional and efficient manner.
  • Locates or orders parts as needed.
  • Prepares invoices for parts to be delivered to wholesale customers.
  • Maintains and solicits wholesale accounts in person and by telephone. Keeps parts manager informed on the status of accounts.
  • Maintains professional appearance.

QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

Education and/or Experience • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one to two years related experience and/or training;

Language Skills• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization.• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Mathematical Skills• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
