PHI AIR MEDICAL is Hiring a Maintenance Operations Controller - Phoenix, AZ - NEW Near Phoenix, AZ

POSITION OVERVIEW 

Maintenance Controllers accomplish a variety of maintenance related tasks with respect to compliance and ensuring that maintenance accomplished is per company policies and procedures. These tasks are not limited to; Maintain ETR (Estimated Time Return to service) for AOG aircraft, Authorization and validation for parts ROB/cannibalization process, Operation Check Flight validation, MEL Data Base and Application Assistance, Coordinate and Monitor OEM Technical Support, Monitor for discrepancies requiring Service Difficulty Reports (SDR), Create Mechanical Interruption Summary Reports, Airworthiness Validation after AOG Maintenance Completion, and Assist with other Tasks as required. Maintenance Controllers are the centralized point of contact when removing an aircraft from service and returning an aircraft to service. It is critical that the Maintenance Controller have an understanding how the company's GMM policies and procedures apply when field maintenance is accomplishing compliance critical tasks. Thus, the Maintenance Controller has final authority when returning aircraft to service.

JOB SUMMARY

  • Focal point of contact for PHI Air Medical's maintenance operation.
  • Coordinate with bases and hubs to establish return to service estimates.
  • Publish and maintain ETR (Estimated Time for Return to service) in the aircraft out of service Matrix.
  • Assist the mechanics in the field with troubleshooting and parts research.
  • Coordinate with maintenance for MEL and NEF application and parts ordering.
  • Create/follow up with OEM technical support requests.
  • Focal point for all parts cannibalization and serviceability determination.
  • Review and assist with proper completion of cann forms and serviceable tag/forms.
  • Verify requirements for Operational Check Flights and validate proper documentation.
  • Monitor for SDR's (Service Difficulty Reports) and track/log mechanical disruptions for monthly summary.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma
  • Airframe Powerplant Certificate
  • 5 years experience with PHI as a mechanic or 10 years industry experience on like aircraft
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to communicate both verbally and in written format.
  • Phone communication must be effective and clear.
  • Must be able to pass pre-placement physical exam including functional capacity exam (strength and flexibility assessment, lift 100 pounds)
  • This position is designated Safety Sensitive for purposes of the Arizona Medical Marijuana Act.
