Shipping & Receiving Clerk

The Shipping & Receiving Clerk will be responsible for monitoring the inventory coming in and out of the facility. They will package the inventories for the customers and intake supplies from the vendors at the dock doors.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Package items, print labels, weigh packages and determinate appropriate postage
• Receive merchandise from couriers and or suppliers, sign delivery slips and observe for shortages or damaged goods
• Verify and keep records of incoming and outgoing shipments
• Take inventory, maintain storage area, organize and places stock on shelves
• Coordinate and expedite the return or exchange of defective products
• Other duties as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be able to stand for an 8 hour shift
• Must be able to read, write, and clearly communicate with the assigned supervisor
• Be able to lift 25-30 lbs multiple times for short periods of time and push carts of inventory
• Must be able to work scheduled shift
• Must have high attention to detail
• Must be capable of working at an efficient pace to meet production expectations
• Willingness to be reliable to your team
• Eagerness to put forth your best effort each day

WORKING CONDITIONS

The physical environment requires the employee to work both inside and outside in heat / cold, wet / humid, and dry / arid conditions as dock doors open frequently.

There will be long periods of standing during the work day and moving / lifting of inventories.
