PHB , Inc. Machining Division is Hiring a CNC Set-Up Operator Near Fairview, PA
PHB Inc. Machining Division has a current need for a CNC Set-Up Machinist. This is a first shift, full-time position with advancement opportunities within the company.
Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret technical blueprints and design models
- Perform proven, complex set-ups, ability to make minor edits to programs
- Calculate and set controls to regulate machining factors such as; feed, speed, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cut
- Enter commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media
- Confer with engineers, production personnel, programmer, or others to resolve machining problems and optimize programs and tooling
- Troubleshoot problems in manufacturing
- Load parts into machine, actively observe machine operation to detect workpiece defects or machine malfunctions
- Report workpiece defects
- Determine when tools need changed
- Conduct in-process inspection
- Remove burrs and sharp edges per work instructions
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Previous work experience as a CNC Set-Up Operator in a manufacturing setting
- Experience with Mazak and Okuma
- Ability to read and interpret design blueprints
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and stick to a deadline
- Ability to work after-hours when required
