Registered Nurse - Emergency Department
Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our ED team. As a Registered Nurse in the ED Department, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care in emergency situations. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and make a difference in the lives of patients.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care in the ED
- Assess patients' conditions and prioritize care based on urgency
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor and document patient vital signs and symptoms
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Assist with emergency procedures and interventions
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
Qualifications:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in NY
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience working as an RN in an ED/ER setting with experience in a Level I or II Trauma Center
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology
- Proficient in medical documentation and record keeping
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick decisions
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- BSN, TNCC, BLS, ACLS. PALS, AHA Stroke certification. Competent in vent/tracheostomy and gastrostomy tubes, medication titration.
13 week contracted assignment, weekly Pay!!! opportunity to extend after 13 weeks.
