Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Temp Assistant Residential Manager to oversee the care and support of individuals with developmental disabilities.

Duties:
- Ensure health, safety, and oversight for individuals and staff

- Respond to emergencies and staffing issues, maintain on-call access

- Provide direct support and leadership on shift

- Facilitate communication within residence and with external partners

- Develop and implement compliant programming

- Manage staff schedules and supervise team

- Serve as a professional role model

- Ensure regulatory compliance

- Implement Staff Action Plan/Residential Habilitation plans

- Manage petty cash and resident finances

- Follow up on Resident’s Life Plans

- Monitor and implement service plans/goals

- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members

- Coordinate age-appropriate recreational activities

- Communicate with families, day programs, and other supports

- Maintain positive community relationships

- Monitor individual financial accounts

- Assist in employee relations and disciplinary concerns

- Participate in required trainings

- Check and respond to work emails within 24 hours

- Cooperate with investigative bodies during inquiries

- Maintain organized documentation for audits/surveys

- Supervise dietary and housekeeping needs

- Collaborate with other departments like Finance, HR, and Quality Assurance

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or 1 year of experience with intellectual/developmental disabilities with High School Diploma/GED

- Knowledge of OPWDD service system and regulations is advantageous

- Valid NYS driver’s license and clean driving record necessary

- SCIP, CPR/AED, and AMAP certification required

- Clearance through state-mandated Background/Fingerprint Checks necessary

- Must maintain certifications in SCIP, AMAP, and CPR

- Commitment to company values and policies expected

- Willingness to perform additional assigned duties

Hours

40hr a week Full time (including one weekend day)
