What You Will Be Doing
- Evaluate manufacturing processes and make recommendations for improvements to optimize performance.
- Work as a member and leader of various audit teams to ensure the most effective results are produced by the group.
- Perform on-going research and evaluation of equipment, processes, and techniques used externally in the industry.
- Organize and facilitate audit team efforts.
- Lead team in the recommendations of opportunities for process improvements. Assist the team in the implementation of those improvements.
- Perform internal and external benchmarking of key manufacturing processes. Develop best practices manual from benchmarking findings. Perform ongoing searches of manufacturing practices that could provide insight for internal improvements.
- Work closely with the plants quality control team to optimize raw material proportioning.
- Work with the company engineering group in the determination of process equipment selection for capital projects.
What You Need for this Position
- Proven experience as a process engineer
- Conscientious and responsible
- A keen eye for detail and a results driven approach
- Outstanding communication skills
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- Proficient in MS Office
- In depth understanding of quality control procedures and relevant legal standards
- Excellent math abilities and working knowledge of data analysis/statistical methods
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
