Press Brake Operator

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced press brake operator to join our team at Phase Incorporated in Mount Airy Maryland. The ideal candidate will have experience in setting up and operating jobs on press brake to straighten or bend metal parts to specified dimensions. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all products meet the highest quality standards and adhere to industry regulations.

Schedule:

• 10-hour shift, 630a-500p
• Monday - Thursday
• Overtime available periodically

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a hydraulic press brake to process plate & sheet metal as specified on work orders & drawings. High quality work output and satisfactory quantity output are requirements the job.
• Monitors forming operation by inspection using calipers, height gage and square. Adjusts machine according to material variances
• Conduct maintenance equipment placed under your control as needed and required.
• Assist other employees on processing projects as assigned by your supervisor.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines,
• Safely operate other equipment in the processing department as assigned by your supervisor.
• These are not all-inclusive and will include other special projects assigned to you from time to time.
• Maintain a professional attitude and good working relationship with fellow employees.

· Performs other duties as assigned throughout other areas of the shop.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent,
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality,
• Excellent time management and organizational skills,
• Good communication skills
• Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screening as required by aerospace industry standards.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time and carry loads of 45 lbs,

Preferred Qualifications

· Technical or vocational training in press brake operation or related field

· Experience with Amada CNC Press Brake

· Proficiency in reading drawings and maintaining press brake equipment

Pay: $21.00 - $26.19 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
