POSITION SUMMARY
Prepares all contracted medical writing (MW) tasks, including authoring and QC review, and provides support in all MW associated activities
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Authoring of the MW tasks under supervision (aggregate reports, RMPs and other documents needed throughout the product’s life cycle) with the responsibility for the quality and content of the document, and quality control review of documents prepared by MW peers
• Continuous self-education in all aspects associated with MW activities
• Active participation in trainings, maintenance, and development of quality system documents for MW
• Support in all PV operations associated with MW
IF LINE MANAGER (optional):
Leads the team of Medical Writers. Following are line manager’s responsibilities (including, but not limited to):
• Leadership and expert advice in the area of medical writing
• Line management of direct reports
• Regular 1:1 meetings with direct reports to ensure motivation and performance
• Periodic appraisal of performance and goal setting
• Escalation of performance issues to department director / HR
• Supervise, train and develop colleagues in the team, as well as provide training to other employees in PrimeVigilance and to clients
• Support in development of company controlled documents in the area of medical writing

EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS AND PROFESSIONAL MEMBERSHIPS PhD or Master’s degree in life sciences or healthcare (pharmacy, medicine, veterinary medicine, biochemistry)
EXPERIENCE 2 - 3 years in pharma industry field
SPECIAL SKILLS Organization skills, including attention to detail and multitasking Management skills, including time and issue management Communication skills Presentation skills Ability to motivate/coach people; leadership Line Management skills
LANGUAGE SKILLS English - fluent (spoken, written)
PC SKILLS Advanced literacy (MS Office with focus on MS Word; EndNote reference manager; PDF creator)
