Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our team. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will work closely with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of medication to patients. Your role will involve medication administration, patient service, and maintaining pharmacy operations. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to patient care in a hospital setting. Duties: - Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently - Perform medication inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and stocking medications - Prepare sterile IV medications using aseptic technique - Maintain accurate patient records and medication profiles - Provide excellent customer service to patients, answering questions and addressing concerns - Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure proper medication therapy management - Adhere to all legal and ethical standards in pharmacy practice - Follow established protocols for medication storage, handling, and disposal - Assist with training and mentoring new pharmacy technicians Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a pharmacy technician training program preferred - Current Pharmacy Technician certification or licensure (if required by state regulations) - Strong knowledge of medical terminology and pharmacy calculations - Previous experience in an acute care or hospital pharmacy setting preferred - Proficiency in using pharmacy software systems for prescription processing - Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills - Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with healthcare professionals and patients - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and efficiency Skills: - Medication administration - Patient service - Pharmacy technician - Acute care - Medical terminology - Patient care - IV infusion - Pharmacy operations - Aseptic technique We offer competitive pay rates and comprehensive benefits packages for eligible employees.
