 School Social Worker

WHAT YOU WILL DO: 

Phalen Leadership Academies is currently seeking a Social Worker to assist scholars with course selection, scheduling and will be the initial point of contact for student concerns that span multiple subject areas as well as non-academic issues. As our School Social Worker, you should be an expert on course and credit requirements and will work with our leadership team to establish counseling processes for scholars.

LOCATION: Hope Tolson, 2917 8th St NE, Washington, DC 20017

DO YOU HAVE:

• A Valid State License
• Working knowledge of federal and state student services laws, rules, and practices
• Excellent communication skills and strong analytical and writing capabilities
• Strong organizational, oral and written communication, and interpersonal skills

• Able to anticipate conflicts before they arise
• Passionate about working with students and families in underserved communities
