Summary

The FP&A Intern will play a key role in supporting the financial planning and analysis activities of CGI/Eco Window Systems. This internship offers a unique opportunity for students pursuing advance degrees in Finance, Accounting, or related fields to gain practical experience in financial modeling, data analysis, and reporting. The intern will work closely with our finance/operational teams to assist in budgeting, forecasting, and decision-making processes, contributing to the overall financial health and success of the organization. Through this internship, the successful candidate will develop valuable skills, expand their knowledge of financial management practices, and gain insight into the operations of a dynamic business environment.

What You'll Do

• Assist in the preparation of financial forecasts, budgets, and variance analyses, providing valuable insights to support decision-making processes.
• Compile and analyze financial data from various sources to identify trends, opportunities, and risks, and present findings in a clear and concise manner.
• Support the development and maintenance of financial models to facilitate scenario analysis and forecasting accuracy.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant financial information and contribute to strategic planning discussions.
• Assist in month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciling financial statements, preparing journal entries, and generating management reports.
• Contribute to ad-hoc projects and initiatives, such as cost optimization studies, pricing analyses, and process improvements, under the guidance of senior finance professionals.
• Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements related to financial planning and analysis, and apply this knowledge to enhance departmental effectiveness.

These responsibilities provide a solid foundation for the intern to develop their skills and understanding of operations and financial planning and analysis within our organization.
