Summary

Assist material handling in their functions with a heavy focus on loading outbound finished goods supporting Western Window Systems.

What You'll Do

• Operate equipment requiring Class A or B CDL, as determined by vehicle type
• Operate forklift to load and unload material
• Perform material handling responsibilities such as inventory transactions in Frontier
• Review shipping schedule to determine need for movement to and from various PGT facilities or Customer locations
• Work with the leaders to coordinate moves
• Perform inspections on all equipment during pre-trip, inter-trip and post-trip inspection
• Make daily pickup and delivery runs for local vendors, which require driving on the road with road equipment
• Fuel equipment as needed
• Communicate relevant information between Dock Operations, Shipping Team, and Logistics
• Assure that loads are loaded and secured correctly
• Load product and secure according to FMCSA Cargo Securement Rules

• Active CDL Class A or B depending on vehicle type
• Medically qualified per DOT Standards
• DOT Medical Card
• Knowledge of DOT Hours of Service
• Clean MVR
• Forklift certification if required by position (Driver 3)
• 21 years of age
• Minor repair / mechanical skills helpful
• Able to operate the truck’s Electronic Logging Device or Automatic On-Board Recording Device per DOT regulations
• Able to use handling tools such as suction cups and handcarts to move and deliver product

Education and/or Experience:2 years of verifiable driving experience
