What you will do:

As an Investment Operations Specialist you will have the opportunity to cultivate your leadership skills by participating in various analysis and special projects. In addition, you will gain broad business knowledge by way of consistent exposure to a wide network of business partners. An ideal candidate will fulfill this unique opportunity within our dynamic environment. Your curiosity about emerging trends and practices will stimulate brainstorming discussions with a group of like-minded professionals.

This position is based out of our Newark, NJ office. Our organization follows a hybrid work structure where employees can work remotely or from the office, as you needed, based on the demands of specific tasks or personal work preferences. Working from the office is encouraged when working on tasks that require a high degree of collaboration.

What you can expect:

  • Process and/or review capital call and distribution requests
  • Process and/or review market values of investments made by PSS Alts
  • Serve as liaison to internal stakeholders and for requests from third party managers
  • Coordinate and play leading role in group’s daily cash processing and wire preparation activities
  • Independently analyze and perform periodic reconciliations of NAVs per specified guidelines
  • Review periodic reporting deliverables for accuracy and participate in system testing
  • Manage public email account for relevant information and extract necessary documentation
  • Monitor and manage timely receipt of audited financial statements
  • Maintain supporting schedules that support portfolio administration effort

Overtime required during peak periods.

What you will bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, or Business
  • 3-5 years of experience within financial services
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to independently prioritize tasks and work in a deadline-oriented environment
  • Strong communication and partnering skills
  • Excellent administrative/organizational skills
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously

What will set you apart:

  • Familiarity with following systems a plus (Investran, Burgiss, Documentum)
  • Private equity and/or hedge fund experience preferred

Note: Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $75,000 to $90,000. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
