PGA Corporation is Hiring a Golf professional Near Acworth, GA

Overview

The position will assist the Head Golf Professional in all areas and management of the

Golf Operation.

The Entry Level Assistant Golf Professional will be an important part of the Golf Operation. The selected candidate must be a self-motivated individual with a willingness to learn the golf business and be exceptional.

Ideally possess strong leadership, and interpersonal skills.

Experience Required

Compensation :

  • Total Compensation estimated at $45,000 - $55,000
  • Salary - $18.50 - $20.00 depending on background experience
  • Job is year around
  • Off-Season from December 25 to March 1 (40-hrs hours but no overtime)
  • Golf Instruction - $3,000 to $5,000
  • Holiday Bonus - % of worked hours
  • Golf Shop Performance Bones - $250 (2021 figure)
  • Club Repair Commission - $500 to $1,000
  • PGA / GBN Dues Paid
  • Full playing and practice privileges

Staff uniforms provided at no charge

Possible Equipment contract with vendor

Essential Responsibilities

Provide exceptional customer service to all members and guests with an emphasis

on an attention to detail.

Administer the tournament operations program using the Golf Genius software

program and monitor his tournament operations responsibilities.

Merchandise apparel, equipment and accessories to create a positive shopping

experience for members and guests through effective merchandising techniques.

  • Utilize the point-of-sale system for all merchandise transactions.
  • Assist with ordering merchandise and processing special orders.
  • Learn to conduct individual private golf lessons to all membership segments.
  • Learn to provide a comprehensive club fitting experience by using TrackMan.
  • Perform club / grip repair in an efficient and proper manner.
  • Administer Junior Golf Program with support from Director of Instruction. Junior

program consists of Summer Camp, Clinics, and Junior Interclub League.

  • Assist Director of Instruction with Ladies Clinics and Playing Lessons.
  • Communicate effectively will all staff members and department heads.
  • Organize the weekly newsletter to provide updated information to members.
  • Utilize the Club website to provide updated tournament results and information

about upcoming programs and services available to the membership.

  • Training and development of outside staff.
  • Assist in overseeing all areas of Outside Operations (bagroom, staging area, cart

barn, and practice facilities).

  • Play golf with members on a weekly basis, when the tournament calendar allows.
  • Involved in budgeting process and preparing reports for Board of Directors.

Qualifications :

The selected candidate shall have a minimum of 3-5 years experience as an Assistant

Golf Professional at a similar facility. The individual must be a Class A PGA Member in

good standing with the PGA of America. In addition, a minimum of a four-year college

degree is preferred.

Direct Reports :

The Entry Level Assistant Golf Professional reports directly to the Head Golf Professional and First Assistant. The Entry Level Assistant Golf Professional will support Head Golf Professional and First Assistant to supervise all Outside Operations personnel and Starter.
