Overview

We are searching for a passionate PGA member or apprentice to oversee our ladies programming and development. Other duties will involve teaching, playing, merchandising and tournament operations

Essential Responsibilities

JOB SUMMARY :

Assists the Director of Golf with all Ladies Golf and Ladies pro shop operations, scheduling, teaching, and tournaments. Plays with members and guests and ensures that they feel welcome and enjoy themselves.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

• Lead the Ladies Golf programs; act as the Tournament Coordinator for assigned events.
• Assist with Men’s and Mixed events when needed.
• Directly manages all member and outside Ladies Golf events (unaccompanied play) with the Director of Golf.
• Extends hospitality and courteousness to members and guests to ensure they feel welcome and enjoy their time at the club.
• Plays with members and guests and hones golf game.
• Conducts and encourages participation in club tournaments and types up tournament summary reports.
• Maintains handicap programs.
• Opens and sorts incoming mail.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Treats all members, guests and co-workers in a friendly and respectful manner in accordance with the standards of excellence of The Ford Field and River Club.
• Assists in other departments and performs additional related duties as required.
• Understands and follows policies and procedures of the department and The Ford Field & River Club overall.

While The Ford Field and River Club encourages amicable relationships between members of management and their subordinates, involvement in a romantic relationship may comprise or create a perception that comprises a member of management’s ability to perform his or her job.

Such relationships could create an appearance of or opportunity for impropriety, favoritism, or a conflict of interest. Any involvement of a romantic nature between an officer, manager or supervisor an anyone he or she supervises, either directly or indirectly, is prohibited.

Violation of his policy will lead to corrective action up to, and including, termination of the management individual or both individuals involved in the relationship.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND QUALIFIATIONS :

• Active membership in the P.G.A.
• Good player with experience in golf business.
• Friendly, outgoing and a good teacher.
• Excellent communication skills. Professional appearance required.
• Valid driver’s license required to drive golf carts.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS :

Standing, stooping, bending, pushing and pulling. Lifts 25 pounds occasionally up to 50 pounds. Vision must be correctable to read and write.

Hearing must be sufficient to understand conversation on the telephone in a noisy environment. Must have hand usage to complete forms, use keyboard and mouse and other office equipment and teach golf.

Must be able to work irregular hours including weekends and holidays.
