Department Overview
Enterprise Health and Safety (EH&S) consists of PG&E’s Regional Safety, Occupational Health and Safety, Transportation and Contractor Safety, PG&E’s Safety Excellence Management System (PSEMS), Enterprise Corrective Action Program (eCAP), and PG&E Academy. The team collaborates with our enterprise partners to implement safety programs to support the regional safety model, workforce safety (including contractor safety), public safety and transportation safety. The team develops and maintains safety standards, assesses enterprise safety culture, and oversees PSEMS. Additionally, the EH&S team facilitates the enterprise corrective action program, an Enterprise Program that is trusted, valued, and effectively used to identify, evaluate, trend, and track resolution of known and perceived issues. Finally, the PG&E Academy ensures our coworkers have the knowledge and skills to safely and compliantly perform their work through strategically developed and delivered training programs.
Position Summary
Works to detect, prevent, and mitigate and investigates safety risks. Provides subject matter expertise on field observations and provides consultation, documentation, and guidance on corrective action development. Creates and communicates safety documents as trends necessitate. Collaborates with and supports line of businesses on safety issues. Communicates safety trends and recommends corrective actions. Serves as a resource for the development, implementation, and sustainability of the various companywide safety initiatives. Frequently travels to remote locations as lone worker. Maintains communication with supervisor and colleagues both in-person and virtually. Responsible for safety of self and sets example for others to follow. Occasionally travels for emergency work including wildfires, storm responses and other incidents. Emergency response requires extended time away from home location and extended hours. Communication, collaboration, and coaching skills are essential to the success of this position.
PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, collective bargaining agreements, and internal equity.
The hourly rate for this position ranges from $41.35 to $62.02
