Purpose and role of job:
To ensure that materials and resources flow through the company in a timely and effective manner.
Principal Accountabilities/ Responsibilities:
Print daily work orders and stage for Shipping Logistic Team processing
Verify open order report
Coordinate FIFO reports and picking methods between building locations and ensure daily orders are processed based on inventory availability
Correspond with Quality Department on any QA materials needed for release
Schedule freight carriers based upon open orders and due dates
Communicate with carriers, staff and management to avoid missed shipments
Coordinate material movement throughout the warehouse. Have a full understanding of bundle locations
Ensure all documents and requests are completed daily including all packing slips, bills of lading and ASN files
Track scrap trailers, their content and call for pick up
Work with Customer Service to receive orders for approvals
Track all trailers and ensure that they are suitable for use. Reject with carriers as necessary and document for carrier score cards
Proactively organize future order requirements when available
Education and experience requirements:
Prior knowledge of Traffic responsibilities a plus. Must have a thorough understanding and experience with MSOffice suite and excellent Excel skills. Minimum of 5 years warehouse logistics experience. Good math skills required.
Work Environment:
Office setting but will periodically spend time on the production floor.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to speak, walk, use computer, reach. Must be able to analyze numbers and recognize the need for adjustments. Travel between buildings required. Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs unaccompanied. Walk/stand 100% of time during a 12-hour shift.
