Description: Expected to take initiative and be proactive, able to read and understand shop orders, production schedules and follow written or verbal instructions. Meet and exceed Syntec's expectations (safety, quality, productivity). Identify and separate nonconforming parts (defective). Report issues to maintenance as needed and make supervisor aware, must follow all safety rules and regulations housekeeping (5S) throughout and end of shift must be punctual, monitor attendance, attitude and performance of individuals in their various positions. Recommend for hire, promotion, discipline or release as needed. Assist Supervisor in directing associates with respect to production volume, quality, and meeting production, schedules and delivery dates, helps ensure employees adhere to company policies, safety standards, and good housekeeping practice, 5S. Responsible for the training of new associates on work procedures and other job related duties, promotes an atmosphere of continuous improvement within the department, work closely with Maintenance Department to assure that machinery, equipment, and facilities are properly maintained for efficient production, keeps records of departmental activities as required, other duties as required, must be able to lift 40 lbs. repetitively, must be able to stand the entire shift, position requires bending, stooping, stretching and reaching. PPE Requirement: safety glasses, safety shoes and hearing protection.
