Bench Scientist

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for human primary cell handling
• Perform a wide variety of basic molecular biology techniques with minimal supervision
• Conduct basic phage display antibody library preparation and screening work
• Manage and document lab work recordings
• Order lab supplies as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience OR;
• M.S. degree in life sciences or related discipline with a minimum of 2 years' directly relevant experience
• Hands-on experience with molecular cloning, plasmid preparation, RNA isolation and other molecular biology techniques
• Experience with bacterial cultures and ELISA assays
• Experience with basic phage display antibody library preparation and screening work preferred
• Excellent organization in day-to-day experiments and timely updating of experiment files
• Detail Oriented

Rate/Location:

• $42 - $47 per hour
• This is a fully onsite role located in La Jolla, CA
