Pexco is Hiring a Plastic Extruder Operator Near Asheboro, NC

Extruder Operator needed for evening and overnight shifts. The individual will be involved setup and running of plastic extrusion equipment, producing profiles from high performance polymers.

  • Setup and run products within specifications.

  • Monitor and document the extrusion processes parameters including quality checks, processing conditions and product dimensions.

  • Issue raw materials

  • Maintain lot traceability

  • Perform equipment cleanouts

  • Work safely and maintain a neat and safe work area

  • Accurately prepare labels and packaging according to customer specific requirements.

  • Assure accurate transactions in the inventory computer system

  • Assist other employees as necessary.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Able to read, write, and verbally communicate in English for purposes of training and communication with other employees.

  • Able to understand fractions, decimals and metric measurement system

  • Prior extrusion experience is a plus.

  • Mechanically oriented

  • Team player

  • Basic computer skills

  • Capable of lifting 50 lbs

  • Familiar with hand tools
