Full Job Description

We have a great team and a great opportunity for a high performing manager. We are recruiting for an experienced and progressive Veterinary Hospital Manager to join our team!

We are a multi-doctor practice, located in the Gainesville, GA area. The hospital manager is responsible for all aspects of the business working autonomously but also with a robust support system composed of several local hospital managers, regional manager and departmental support teams. The ideal applicant has veterinary medicine leadership experience and should have previous vetmed experience, either in a customer service or technician role. The applicant should be prepared to work collaboratively with medical director and clinical staff to advance the hospital's mission of providing accessible and quality care to all our clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining a positive hospital culture
  • Supervises the staff within all hospital support departments
  • Supporting the needs of the doctors and collaborating with the medical director on hospital processes and continuous improvement.
  • Responsible for timely performance feedback, skill and management development of all Hospital personnel.
  • Participates in onboarding new hires and all new hire paperwork.
  • Orients and trains new clinic staff to the hospital and duties.
  • Manages labor hours and schedule
  • Reviews work performance of direct reports, constructively delivers feedback, resolves routine personnel issues and conducts timely performance appraisals.
  • Oversees Employee annual performance evaluation process.
  • Manages schedules for technical and administrative staff, coordinates DVM and Support schedules with the Medical Director
  • Management of inventory, purchasing and supplies
  • Must have an adaptable, positive attitude

Administrative:

  • Works with the PetVet Care Centers Support team to ensure compliance with all administrative responsibilities.
  • Participates in the annual budget creation process.
  • Ensures daily financial information is accurate and is responsible for all local accounting functions.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
