For over 50 years, Pettigrew & Pettigrew CPAs, a highly respected, full-service public accounting firm located in Milledgeville, GA, has provided tax preparation and planning, accounting and business consulting services to businesses and individuals. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented self-starter with 4 years of public accounting tax experience to lead tax and accounting engagements for a diverse roster of clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review corporate, partnership, individual, fiduciary and trust & state tax returns
  • Lead engagements throughout all aspects of accounting including tax research, planning and consulting
  • Provide business advisory services directly to clients while fostering professional relationships
  • Oversee, mentor, train and supervise tax staff

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • 4 years of recent public accounting tax experience progressing in scope and responsibilities
  • CPA license or CPA candidate preferred, but not required
  • Attention to detail with strong communication, organizational, analytical, client service, problem solving and PC skills including Microsoft Office and accounting software proficiency (Lacerte and QuickBooks software proficiency are a plus)
  • Ability to work independently, juggle priorities, meet deadlines and work effectively with a team-oriented environment

We provide a competitive salary of $70,000-$140,000/year, commensurate with experience, and a comprehensive benefits package including health, life and disability insurance and 401(k) plan with employer match.
