Hiring part-time/full time kennel attendant to join the team at our AAHA accredited hospital to care for our boarding pets and facility. Being a kennel attendant is an active and physically demanding job. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Must be available for 25-35 hours per week or more as needed. You will be required to work outside at times during the summer and the winter. Seasonal work may also be available during holidays and summer time. Typical shifts begin at 6am through 1pm and 12pm to 7pm but may vary. Must be a reliable and punctual individual who is available mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays. We provide enrichment for the pets including playtime, giving a variety of treats, and providing media/communications with the owner. We value the relationships we form making the pets and owners feel as comfortable as possible with our care.
Typical tasks include the following:
Ideal candidates will be detail-oriented, positive, and enjoy serving pets and people. We are looking for someone with integrity who can take initiative. Dependability, flexibility, and a love for all kinds of pets are also important!
