This role is responsible for providing expert technical service while maintaining exceptional customer service. Duties may include; Diagnose and repair on various truck systems, removal and installation of parts and attachments, visual inspections, cleaning and maintenance. The successful team member will have at least one year of fleet, dealership and/or technical school experience.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:• Provide technical service on various trucks and equipment.• Read job orders, inspect, test and listen to vehicle in operation to determine malfunction and make a work/repair procedure plan.• Diagnose and repair tuck systems using hand tools, precision instruments, power tools, computers and proper manuals.• Follow checklists to ensure all critical parts are examined.• Examine and adjust as needed; protective guards, loose bolts and specified safety devices.• Tag all warranty parts and returns for the warranty manager.• Test-drive vehicles to ensure that repairs are complete, accurate and running smoothly.• Attend training classes and keep abreast of factory technical bulletins.• Practice general safety by keeping work area/shop/dealership clean and free of debris.• Maintain clear communication with supervisor on repairs and progress.• Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers and fellow employees.• Represent Peterbilt of Wyoming in a professional and friendly manner.QUALIFICATIONS:• 1-year fleet or dealership experience or technical school training.• CDL Preferred but not required.• Able to stand, walk, bend, twist, kneel, squat or stoop with infrequent sitting.• Climb, reach and lift overhead regularly.• Lift up to 50lbs on a regular basis.• Possess and maintains current Wyoming driver license with a clean driving record.• Pass a pre-employment and random drug testing.COMPANY BENEFITS:• Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance• 401K with Employer Contribution• Paid Holidays, Vacation and Sick Leave• Profit Sharing• Boot and Safety Equipment Reimbursement• Discounts on Products and Services• Shop equipment with latest technology and equipment• Uniforms provided• Work environment OSHA certified current Air Quality Standards• Paid training and continuing education• Clean and professional work environment• Competitive wages• Growth Opportunities-Promote Within• Long Term Job Security• Family Owned and OperatedDISCLAIMER:This is not necessarily an exhaustive list of responsibilities, skills, duties, requirements, efforts or working conditions associated with this position.
