POSITION INFORMATION:
The Receptionist/Showroom Greeter intercepts and routes incoming calls, takes thorough messages, and provides basic information to callers. S/he greets customers as they enter the showroom and directs them to the appropriate party in accordance with the dealership policies and answers basic inquiries. S/he is the dealership's front-line contact with the public and must represent the dealership in a professional, friendly manner at all times. This position also includes clerical duties such as typing, sorting mail, and filing.

QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalent. Professional personal appearance and dress. Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information both verbally and in written form. Ability to communicate well orally and in writing with customers, vendors, and other contacts. Must speak clearly on the telephone and convey an image of professionalism and competence to callers. Ability to work well with the public, sometimes with several customers at a time. Ability to work well with detailed information under considerable time limitations with minimal supervision. Strong organization skills and attention to detail. Must frequently deal with difficult situations related to people or situations. Must be able to judge when employees should and should not be interrupted (e.g., when a salesperson is with a customer). Knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, etc.) and the internet. Ability to operate office equipment (e.g., computer, calculator, fax, copier, phone). Will be trained on appropriate dealership computer systems.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position. Will answer the telephone for the entirety of the shift excluding breaks. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable. Repetitive movement of hands and fingers - typing and/or writing. Occasional standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, or crouching. Occasional reach with hands and arms. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
