Peter Albrecht Company is Hiring a Metal Fabricator Near Greendale, WI

Peter Albrecht Company manufactures motorized hoists for suspending/raising/lowering things like chandeliers, banners, and scoreboards. We also manufacture motorized medical light enclosures, tension grid systems, and theater equipment. We are looking for someone to help us in the shop as described below.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Measure and cut steel angle, pipe, and plate using bandsaw.
  • Measure, mark, punch, and drill cut steel parts using drill press.
  • Measure completed components to be sure that they are to print.
  • Place steel frame parts in weld fixture to speed process for welder.
  • Grind weld splatter off angle iron frames to prepare for powder coat.
  • Continuously evaluate quality of materials and final product, reporting any defects immediately.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying company's program and work rules.
  • Accurately record time spent on jobs to help us accurately capture job costs.
  • Perform miscellaneous duties related to the manufacture of Peter Albrecht Company products and maintenance of its shop and equipment as assigned.

Basic Qualifications are:

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
  • Must be able to pass drug test.
  • Basic math skills with the ability to read a standard tape measure.
  • Ability to layout holes and dimensions to match a drawing.
  • Must be able to lift up to 75lbs.
  • Proficient in operation of electric drills, grinders, saws, and hand tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Previous experience using power tools, drill press, and band saw.
  • Welding experience (not required).
