The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for:
- Allocating payments within the accounting system and collaborating with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Service departments to address customer inquiries.
- Managing workflow efficiently and keeping supervisors informed of any potential collection obstacles.
- Evaluating the risk associated with new customer accounts and maintaining personalized customer relations.
- Maintaining accurate and timely accounting records, including correspondence related to payment collection.
- Upholding integrity and confidentiality in financial reporting, adhering to national and local financial regulations.
- Proficiency in adopting new accounting and computer software, with a focus on Microsoft Office functions, especially spreadsheets.
- Preferred experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software systems.
- Demonstrating the ability to multitask and adhere to established procedures and practices with great attention to detail and precision.
- Supporting the company in enhancing financial transactions through payment and customer account reconciliation.
- Identifying and reporting discrepancies to supervisor, to include delinquent payers, and recommending collection efforts.
- Preserving confidentiality and safeguard privileged data related to financial information, customers, and the company’s operations.
- Fostering client relationships by engaging with customers on account status.
- Responsible for a variety of sales tax accounting activities.
- Assisting with preparation of lien waivers.
