Overview

The Operations Specialist is responsible for gate-keeping the schedule and content of all communications from Pet Supplies Plus headquarters to field leaders, stores, and franchise owners. Additional duties include report, document, and presentation creation. This role will provide operational support for all company initiatives to ensure the overall success of Pet Supplies Plus.

This is a hybrid role working 3 days per week in office and 2 days a week from home. Our corporate office is located in Livonia, MI.

Responsibilities/Qualifications

The Operations Specialist will:

• Gate-keep all messages, tasks, documents, and store communications distributed to the field by thoroughly reviewing for content, clarity, spelling, and grammar.
• Administrator of the Store Operations Center communication portal including user management, updating store alignments, and managing dashboard content.
• Ensure the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) documents are up to date, formatted correctly, and easily searchable on the Store Ops Center.
• Gather and organize updates from all departments to share with field leaders on the weekly operations and quarterly franchise business update calls.
• React quickly to urgent store communication requests which on occasion may require attention during off hours.
• Manage the store audit system, content, and reporting used in the field.
• Respond to and resolve all Store Operations support tickets daily.
• Support all operational needs for both brands (Pet Supplies Plus and Wag N Wash).

PAWsome Operations Specialist will have:

• 2 years’ experience in communications, operations, or training-related fields preferably in a retail or customer service environment.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required. 
• Solid analytical, problem-solving, and customer interaction skills.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
• Ability to learn quickly and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent skills with MS Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and
• Strong customer service orientation.
