As the Manager of a Pet’s Barn Store, your purpose is to oversee day-to-day operations of a single store. A manager must ensure that their crew performs to the best of their
ability and provides our clientele with outstanding customer service.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Opening (unlocking) or closing (locking) of store
- Preparing Store Daily Deposit and change order
- Delivering the Daily Deposit and picking up change order from bank
- Review and interpret daily reports
- Maintain all employee files in a secure place
- Make weekly staff schedules to ensure proper customer service throughout the work day and monitor overtime
- Ensure that store premises (inside and out) are in proper working order, and aesthetically pleasing to every customer
- Monitor and order all product in order to successfully serve our clientele
- Complete paperwork on any product changes, transfers, or returns promptly
- Sell defective items to Defective item account, pack, and send back all defective items with proper paperwork
- Monitor and adjust any inventory issues promptly
- Monitor and train all employees on customer service, company policy and procedure, and daily store tasks
- Monitor and reply to any communication from Upper Management, or other stores
- Stay in communication with Upper Management and other stores
- Suggest any new product that may benefit our clientele
- Become knowledgeable on all animals and products offered in our stores
- Be able to clearly communicate with employees, Upper Management, and customers
- Be able to aptly handle any and all incidents that may occur with employees, customers, or premises
Skills
- Must be computer proficient
- Must be able to communicate well with others
- Must be able to send and receive communication via email, fax, phone, or letter
- Must be able to complete company training programs
- Must be able to adequately train team members to follow all company policies and procedures, and provide outstanding customer service
Requirements
- Must be able to work a full time schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be on call at all times. Must be easily reachable during all hours.
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to lift products over 70lbs
- Must be able to travel as needed
