We are seeking a Kennel Assistant to join our work family. The Kennel Assistant will assisting with the maintenance and care in the kennel environment. The Kennel Assistant will be responsible for general animal care, including feeding, cage cleaning, bathing/nails, and exercise. Supervision is required at all times as this is a pet care facility. Furthermore, an assistant with experience is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities:
- Work with dogs to and from and in fenced in play area.
- Assist with outdoor maintenance of the kennel yards.
- Sanitize crates, floors, and outdoor water supply.
- Feed and water in crates.
- Understand dogs' body language, fears, and needs.
- Be able to lift 50 lbs or co-lift 50lbs.
- Maintain a clean yard by removing pup waste.
- Keep laundry caught up.
- Any help needed to care for the pups in our care.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour
