Assistant Program Manager – Level 2

Full-Time, Long-Term.

Nature of Work:

Serve as the focal point between the customer and the various groups within the company to meet customer schedules, specifications and expectations. Reports to the Program Management Coordinator.

Duties and Task Statements:

  • All duties and tasks as listed for the Program Manager Level 1.
  • Review and manage customer excess material issues.
  • Coordinate prototype builds with the Operations Manager.
    Responsible for ensuring a smooth transition of new customers and/or new businesses with existing customers.
  • Effectively communicate with customers.
    Review and analyze problems and provided recommend solutions to the Program Management Coordinator and other members of the management team.
  • Travel to the customer and conducting general business meetings.
  • Explain and enforce terms and conditions of agreement and contracts with customers, ensure all terms of customer Purchase Orders are correct.
  • Take direction from the Program Manager Coordinator as required.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Formal Interaction with others:

Interacts with staff members of Quality Control, Purchasing, Engineering, Receiving, Manufacturing, Engineering and Receiving Inspection. Communicates with upper management to obtain assistance, communicate concerns, and meet customer expectations.

Work Environment:

The work setting consists of an office and production environment with adequate lighting, and suitable temperatures. The work schedule consists of a five-day 40-hour workweek with overtime dependent upon department/customer needs. Travel may be required based on customer needs.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education

A minimum of a two-year degree in Business or a Technical field (four-year degree preferred), or equivalent industry experience is required.

Experience

A minimum of three years of related experience or equivalent industry experience required (With demonstrated ability and proven and sustained performance of all of the tasks and duties above, this requirement could be waived). Experience in electronics and knowledge of MRP is strongly desired. Additionally, the employee must successfully complete all internal courses offered and required by the company necessary to do the job.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Employee must be self-motivated and possess excellent oral and written communication skills. Organizational and time management skills are needed to ensure that the requested tasks are completed by the specific deadlines along with knowledge of various quality issues affecting the manufacturing environment. Excellent interpersonal skills are needed. Must have basic computer knowledge for using (Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point). Sales, Marketing Finance, Accounting and MRP experience is a plus. Employee must work safely at all times and maintain the confidentiality of all customer and company information. Employee may be required to lift 25 periodically.

Pay rate: $17-$18 DOE
