Personnel Services Unlimited is Hiring a Quality Technician Near Spindale, NC

Job Title: Quality Technician

Personnel Services Unlimited is seeking a Quality Technician to work full-time for a manufacturing client in Spindale, NC. Pay will be based on experience.

In this role, you will support quality engineers and supervisors by analyzing and solving quality issues, preparing inspection plans, performing audits, and applying statistical methods for process control.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct quality inspections using statistical sampling plans.
  • Perform visual inspections for surface defects and non-conforming issues.
  • Record and analyze test data using statistical quality control procedures.
  • Validate data and document deviations from standards.
  • Recommend modifications to improve quality within equipment capabilities.
  • Conduct destructive and non-destructive tests on materials and products.
  • Perform failure analysis on customer complaints and returns, and drive corrective actions.
  • Perform Continuous Improvement (CI) inspections to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Conduct First Article Inspections and process control plan analysis.
  • Create and manage control plans and inspection documents.
  • Maintain customer records and perform data analysis.
  • Program and operate Micro Vu measuring systems.
  • Ensure the work area meets environmental and safety standards.
  • Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and follow safety rules.
  • Report any job-related injury or illness immediately.
  • Maintain attendance and punctuality standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 4-5 years of quality experience.
  • Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools.
  • Experience with Six Sigma, Lean, and statistical techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in QAD and MS Office.

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequently required to walk, talk, and hear.
  • Occasionally required to stand, sit, and use hands.
  • Must lift/move up to 40 pounds individually, 80 pounds with assistance.
  • Specific vision abilities required: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Safety Requirements:

  • Follow all safety procedures.
  • Wear safety glasses and shoes.
  • Adhere to correct lifting procedures to prevent ergonomic issues.
