PERSONAL POOL MANAGEMENT LLC is looking for a Lifeguard for our pool.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Maintains constant surveillance of patrons in the facility; acts immediately and appropriately to secure safety of patrons in the event of emergency.

2. Provides emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services.

3. Presents professional appearance and attitude at all times, and maintains a high standard of customer service.

4. Must be able to follow and enforce facilities rules and regulations.

5. Performs various maintenance duties as directed to maintain a clean and safe facility.

6. Prepares and maintains appropriate activity reports.

7. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

• Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
• Skill in the application of lifeguarding surveillance and rescue techniques.
• Ability to prepare routine administrative paperwork.
• Knowledge of CPR and emergency medical procedures.
• Ability to follow routine verbal and written instructions.
• Knowledge of customer service standards and procedures.

Job Requirements

CPR Certified; Current American Red Cross Certification as Lifeguard (Other certifications accepted pending review, Red Cross preferred).

• Greet guests, check in guests, provide safety information, and assist as needed in any way.
• Monitor area for signs of illness or misconduct and investigate reports of injuries or thefts.
• Perform first-aid procedures when required.
• Keep records of accidents, injuries, and incidents in the water.
• Monitor the health of the pool and its equipment.
• Monitor the health of the staff and provide assistance as needed.
• Follow procedures for opening and closing the pool.
• Clean and maintain the interior and exterior of the pool during hours of operation.

Skills

• Proven experience as lifeguard.
• Knowledge of lifeguarding procedures and practices.
• Ability to monitor changing conditions and to respond to changing needs (e.g. to a medical emergency)
• Knowledge of lifeguarding materials and supplies.
• Physical stamina and strength to cope with long periods of standing.
• Attention to safety precautions and cleanliness.

Pay: $18.00 - $19.50 per hour
