Fast growing Charlotte personal injury law firm seeking experienced bilingual (Spanish) personal injury / workers compensation paralegal/legal assistant.

Qualifications:

• Be a self-starter, detail oriented with the ability to multi-task and prioritize to meet deadlines in a timely manner
• Professional demeanor and excellent interpersonal skills
• Strong verbal/written communication skills
• Working knowledge in Microsoft Office (including Excel), Adobe Acrobat. Needles is a Plus
• Outstanding communication skills & the ability to quickly build rapport with your assigned clients, insurance adjusters, medical providers, and attorneys

Responsibilities:

• Set Up New Files Into Case Software (Needles)
• Contact Insurance Companies and Set Up Claims
• Request Medical Bills and Records
• Contact Medical Providers and Confirm Account Balances
• Working Knowledge or Familiarity with NC Industrial Commission
• Draft pleadings, including answers, motions, notices, orders, calendar requests, subpoenas, affidavits, and other court filings
• Draft IC Forms, including Form 24 Application to Terminate Benefits
• Prepare medical, event and plaintiff personnel file chronologies
• Review and analyze discovery documents
• Communicate with opposing counsel, co-counsel, clients, insureds, expert witnesses, court personnel, and others, to facilitate progress of cases;
• Conduct legal research utilizing a variety of databases and electronic resources
• Experience in personal injury is preferred.

SC experience a plus
