Person County Government is now recruiting for the Paramedic (Part-time) position for Person County EMS. The purpose of this position is to perform basic and advanced level assessment, treatment, stabilization and transport as an EMT-Paramedic within the Emergency Medical Services Division.This job works under general supervision, independently developing work methods and sequences. Part-time employees cannot work more than 1000 hours per calendar year. May be required to work extended hours beyond those scheduled without notice. Will be required to work 12- or 24-hour shifts.
No benefits for part-time.MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Graduation or GED equivalent.

SPECIAL CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES:

• Certification by the State of North Carolina as an EMT-Paramedic or be eligible for state reciprocity/legal recognition by the State of North Carolina.
• CPR Certification.
• NIMS ICS 100, 200, 700, 800 within 90 days of hire date.
• Must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license with an acceptable driving history.
