Job Description: We are seeking highly skilled and experienced rod busters to join our team. Rod busters play a crucial role in reinforcing concrete structures, ensuring their strength and integrity. As a rod buster at United Trades of America, you will be responsible for:

• Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout and placement of reinforcing steel bars (rebar)
• Cutting, bending, and shaping rebar using tools such as rebar cutters, benders, and tier guns
• Assembling and securing rebar cages and mats using wire, clips, or welds
• Installing rebar in concrete forms according to established procedures and safety guidelines
• Inspecting and repairing existing rebar installations as needed
• Collaborating with other construction team members to ensure project requirements are met
• Following all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work environment

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a rod buster or similar role in the construction industry
• Proficiency in reading blueprints, drawings, and specifications
• Strong knowledge of rebar types, sizes, and installation techniques
• Ability to use rebar cutting, bending, and shaping tools effectively
• Excellent mathematical skills for measuring, cutting, and bending rebar accurately
• Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
• Physical stamina and strength to lift, carry, and manipulate heavy rebar
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
